Reaching The Church To Reach The World

The Gospel Of The Kingdom

GOM is directly involved in preaching Christ to all mankind for them to know and benefit from the saving grace of Jesus Christ. To achieve this, GOM supports missioners to preach in secondary schools, colleges, universities, churches and public fora among others.

A major mission is carried out for a week every year in different counties where GOM, joins with the host Pastors’ Fellowships to mobilize the local church. Together we undertake person to person evangelism, open air meetings (crusades) and revival meetings in the evenings, to equip the body of Christ for effective work of the ministry.

During these missions, GOM supplies foodstuff and clothing to disadvantaged families living in abject poverty. This way, many people have had their basic needs met leaving a lasting impact in the host communities and the local churches which continue to register significant physical and spiritual growth.

Peace Building

GOM brings together the church ministers and other leaders for the unity of the body of Christ. Through this initiative, church leaders have formed common platforms that enable them to collectively address both spiritual and social-economic issues affecting the community.

This has drastically reduced the tensions and conflicts that existed within the communities. The ripple effect of this initiative has contributed significantly to the national values of communities’ peace and co-existence across the country based on God’s principle expressed by David in Psalm 133:1-3:

“Behold how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar if his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded a blessing, life forever more.”

Good Governance

GOM works directly with National and County governments to promote good governance and efficient use of resources. Through the county outreach missions, GOM works directly with the county leadership to promote accountability and transparency for sustainable development.

GOM in partnership with the governments holds breakfast and other meetings through which the parties reflect on their respective responsibilities in governance and social responsibility.

GOM believes that God command to man in Genesis 1:28 “….be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it…“, can only be a reality when we all subscribe and make commitments to individual responsibilities.

Youth Empowerment Programs

Recent statistics indicate that the youth population is currently more than sixty per cent (60%) of the world’s population. This is evident in most church congregations where their immense potential cannot be ignored. However, there is a general apathy among the young people and a deep cry in their hearts to be helped discover, explore and maximize this potential.

In recognition of the important role they play in social and economic development, GOM supports youth activities to empower them. These include sports, music bands, outreach missions in schools and institutions of higher learning among others.

GOM also focuses on mentor-ship, life skills, training and education support for the disadvantaged to enable them pursue/ achieve their aspirations, talents and find purpose in life.

Our Generation Our Most Holy Faith

Children Ministry

The foundation of every nation is her young people. GOM is committed to embodying the affairs of children in its outreach missions through teaching, instructing and nurturing them in the ways of the Lord.

We share Jesus Christ with them as the key fundamental in their journey of growth and development according to the Scriptures in Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”.

Dubbed “Our Generation, Our Most Holy Faith”, the children ministry targets to reach out to children and walk with them through childhood with relevant programs designed to address their spiritual, physical and social development at every stage.

During the mission, training classes are held for the various ages and many children have come to the knowledge of Christ’s saving grace. They too like the youth, are given opportunities to showcase and develop their talents in their church congregations and communities.

Embracing and supporting the children ministry has given the church and GOM a footing in securing the “living stones” at an early age.

Infrastructure Development

GOM recognizes that a number of church ministers with small congregations are not able to raise funds for the establishment of church structures where the members could hold their regular meetings and activities.

GOM has been supporting such needs through provision of construction materials based on the individual needs. The facilities could also be used for other social functions within the communities.

Humanitarian Assistance

During the missions, we mobilize our members and other stakeholders to provide humanitarian assistance in form of food, clothing, medical and psycho-social support.

Through the “Feed a Family Basket” initiative, gifts of clothing and food are mobilized from well-wishers and transported for sharing with the disadvantaged members of the mission field communities, in the spirit of practical sharing of the true gospel of Christ.

To provide medical assistance, we invite medical professionals to offer FREE medical services and solicit for donations from pharmaceutical companies in form of drugs, for use in the medical camp. While sharing the refreshing word of life, we also extend psycho-social support as we seek to demonstrate God’s compassion and love to the afflicted and vulnerable in the society.

There is evidence of great change wherever GOM has conducted missions and these include: –

Thousands of souls come to the knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Churches/believers have been revived and motivated to do the work of evangelism and the community
Some Pastors’ Fellowships that had existing conflicts have been reconciled and agreed to serve together.
The voice of the church in governance has been recognized as unity in the church is.
Conflicting communities get to understand that they are equal before God and are able to live together peacefully.
Church members, couples, the youth and children get to know their individual roles in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and growing into responsible citizens.
Leaders and professionals appreciate their responsibilities in promoting peace and community transformation and rendering distinguished services to the people that add human value.
